Dear valued clients and friends of Burkhart & Company,
In response to COVID-19 and governmental and health agency guidelines, we are
writing to update you on our Firm’s adjustments. Effective today, March 17,
2020, Burkhart & Company team members will be working remotely and our
office is officially closed except for at least one person who will be present
in our suite to facilitate mail, package deliveries, and work flow. We have
taken this action for the protection of our team members, clients and
community.
We will continue operations through our proven, virtual workspace and do not
anticipate any interruption in delivering high quality, timely service. We are
dedicated to meeting all tax compliance deadlines and fulfilling back office
services and consulting engagement commitments as usual. We anticipate federal
and state policy actions that may extend due dates for filing returns and
paying taxes in certain cases. We will be posting some of the most significant
changes on our webpage at www.burkhartcpa.com as they are made official.
You may continue to reach us by email or calling the office at 865-523-7400. We
will encourage phone conferences in lieu of in-person meetings over the coming
weeks. We will be proactive in shifting scheduled meetings to conference
calls. We can readily arrange multi-party conference calls among
ourselves and any of your team advisors. It is important that we stay connected
and be reminded that even though out of sight we are yet together.
